Course content includes:

  • Half day classroom presentation on the principles of defensive driving
  • Vehicle inspection – demonstration and assessment drives
  • Development of fault finding analysis and feedback techniques, how to record driver faults and compile reports
  • Continuous assessment and development of driving skills, together with the ability to give proper directions and devise suitable routes when conducting assessments.
 

Who should attend?

Car, van and light goods vehicle drivers identified as being capable of conducting assessments together with a proven defensive driving ability. Delegates should have a thorough knowledge of the ‘Highway Code’ and be able to demonstrate an above average standard of driving prior to attending this course.

What will they learn?

How to assess other drivers within their organisation and identify their professional training needs, make recommendations to management supported by appropriate and detailed driving reports.

4 days (maximum of 2 delegates per course).
