Driver Development (Theory Only)

Course content includes:

Interactive and thought provoking theory presentation / workshop on the principles of defensive driving to include:-

• Group discussion on the causes of accidents and how to minimise them
• Accident statistics and associated human costs
• Defensive driving techniques including film clips to validate what is learnt

Who should attend?

All those who drive a car, van-type or light goods vehicle. Delegates must have studied the ‘Highway Code’.

This thought provoking half-day workshop provides an ideal opportunity for employers to ensure that all those who drive for work purposes understand the principles of defensive driving. By concentrating on the theory that underpins competent driving on today’s roads this workshop provides a cost effective means to improve the driving abilities of all employees. The course uses hard hitting film clips and interactive activities to encourage the development of a positive attitude to driving whilst promoting an understanding of how personal factors can affect performance.

The course is carried out in half-day sessions, which means that employers can reap the rewards, at very little cost. Employee down time is further reduced as the course is delivered on your own premises.
