Course content includes:

  • Group discussion on the causes of accidents and how to minimise them
  • Accident statistics / defensive driving techniques / film clips to promote and validate what is learnt
  • Demonstration drive and individual driving assessments with remedial coaching and advice
  • Practical coaching sessions covering the application of defensive driving principles encountered in everyday driving
  • Observation skills and improved anticipation of potential hazards
  • Validation of key learning points and areas for improvement with performance report.
 

Who should attend?

All those who drive a car, van or light goods vehicle up to 7.5 tonnes for work or private use. In preparation for this course delegates should have studied the ‘Highway Code’.

What will they learn?

The correct knowledge and attitude in the driving environment, a good understanding of how to maximise safety margins and a systematic approach to the hazards found in town, rural and motorway driving.
